Tom Marsh-Pritchard – Skelmersdale
Tom Marsh-Pritchard is a former Borough Councillor and has been selected to contest the Skelmersdale West seat in the County Council elections on 1st May.

Tom lives in the heart of the seat in Old Skelmersdale with his loving partner and young daughter. He has worked in Skelmersdale for 10 years for a company supplying fertiliser around the UK and worldwide.
Tom said, “Labour have treated Skelmersdale as their personal political playground for decades and the results of that are clear for all to see. Thank goodness the community rallied to prevent them shutting Nye Bevan. The Conservatives who run the county council are no better. Not one road maintenance scheme will be carried out in Skelmersdale West this coming year; our underpasses continue to flood; and the Youth Zone in the Town Centre could do so much better.”

Tom was one of the first to call for a Community Sports Village on part of the Glenburn site. He said, “The site is owned by the County Council. The Borough Council is developing a Masterplan that includes the site. I was very disappointed in the vision for the Glenburn site which included around 400 houses and space for a very small railway station that will never happen.
Glenburn school was always a hub for community sports. As a football referee myself I know there is a documented shortage of football pitches in Skelmersdale. We await the results of the public consultation on the Masterplan, but the wall-to-wall housing they presented can and must be improved upon.”
