Councillor Janet Ingman
Janet is a mum to Jack and has lived and worked in the area all her life, currently on Cottage Lane in Ormskirk. Janet has held job roles in the caring and teaching professions and worked as a Probation Officer. She feels this allows her to relate to people from all walks of life. Janet enjoys working as part of a team and continuing to learn from those she works with. Janet became OWL Councillor for her home ward of Ormskirk East in May this year.
Janet says, “From all my experiences including that of being a mum I continue to learn. I value most the ability to listen. Actions speak louder than words and you can judge me on what I can achieve for Ormskirk East Ward. I wish to take a more active role in the community, a community of which I feel immensely proud. I can’t promise the unachievable but I can demand action on what you feel matters most whether that’s nature; building plans; services; charities; local amenities etc. Along with that, with me you have someone who will practically join in and get my hands dirty picking up litter; going out of my way to help someone who needs it; and observing things that may have been missed by others.“
“I look forward to hearing what you have to tell me.”
